Bridgetown, Barbados – At CACHARLES + CO., we believe that investing in our community means investing in the people and opportunities that shape its future. In 2026, we were therefore delighted to once again sponsor the UWI Relay Fest, this year alongside our sister firm, BorderPass Barbados.

Following our support of the 2025 event, returning as a sponsor was an easy decision. The UWI Relay Fest brings together student-athletes, schools, clubs and members of the wider sporting community for an exciting showcase of athleticism, teamwork, discipline and determination.

Hosted by The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus Academy of Sport at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex, the Relay Fest continues its ambition of becoming a premier relay meet in the Caribbean and creating a platform on which athletes can compete, develop and showcase their talent.

Continuing Our Commitment to the Next Generation

Our return as a sponsor reflects a commitment that extends beyond a single event. Sport has an extraordinary ability to teach lessons that reach far beyond the track. Discipline, perseverance, teamwork, resilience and the pursuit of excellence are qualities that serve young people throughout their lives, regardless of where their journeys ultimately take them.

Through the combined support of CACHARLES + CO. and BorderPass Barbados, we are proud to play a small part in providing opportunities for young athletes to compete, challenge themselves and experience the camaraderie that comes with representing their schools, clubs and teams.

Celebrating Athleticism, Teamwork and Community

There is something particularly fitting about supporting a relay event.

Success in a relay does not belong to one athlete alone. Every member of the team has a role to play. Each person must perform, trust the person beside them and ultimately pass the baton so that someone else can continue the journey.

That same spirit of collective effort is essential to building strong communities.

The UWI Relay Fest provides an opportunity for athletes from across Barbados and the wider sporting community to come together in healthy competition while celebrating the values of sportsmanship, unity and mutual respect.

We congratulate every athlete who stepped onto the track, as well as the coaches, families, volunteers, officials and organisers whose work behind the scenes continues to make events like this possible.
